Australia is not a country you simply travel through. It is a continent that demands time, respect – and endurance.
Paul Kage takes the audience on an extraordinary motorcycle journey across Australia. Together with his wife Kathy and his BMW, Perla Negra II, he explores a land of extremes – from endless highways and tropical coastlines to the spiritual heart of the continent.
The journey begins in Perth, one of the most remote major cities in the world. From there, the route leads through the tropical north with its rock formations, deserts, beaches and unforgettable sunsets.
Highlights include the Great Barrier Reef, the cities of Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne, the Great Ocean Road and the iconic Twelve Apostles.
In the Red Center, Uluru and the Kata Tjuta leave a lasting impression. Passing desert towns such as Coober Pedy, the journey continues until the Eyre Highway becomes a true mental challenge.
After 23,806 kilometres, the journey comes full circle in the wine region of Margaret River.
