Season Opening 2026 – Start of the Motorcycle Season

Test rides, simulator, pinstripers, art and a fresh start after the winter break. I 10 AM - 7 PM
Apr 25, 2026
Berlin, Germany

After the winter break, the new riding season kicks off at BMW Motorrad Welt. On April 25, 2026, we invite you to our Season Opening – opening the courtyard and outdoor areas together for the first event of the year. On the programme: test rides, live art, creative workshops, a group ride and the chance to finally get back in the saddle. We look forward to seeing you.

Test Rides

Free test rides on current BMW Motorrad models – for many the perfect chance to kick off the season and experience current machines firsthand. On this day, you can ride:

  • R 1300 GS
  • R 1300 GS Adventure
  • R 1300 R
  • R 12 S
  • F 900 GS
  • F 900 R A2

Moto Simulator

Test your riding style on the BMW R 12 S without moving a single metre. The Moto Simulator gives you a realistic riding experience – perfect for warming up before your first real ride of the season.

Group Ride with BMW Motorrad Club Berlin Spandau e.V.

Want more than just the courtyard? The BMW Motorrad Club Berlin Spandau e.V. is organising a guided group ride departing from the Season Opening. Spots are limited – secure yours in time:

Pinstripers from the Factory

We're especially proud to welcome pinstripers from the BMW factory floor. They'll demonstrate their craft live – giving a rare glimpse into the art of applying hand-painted lines and decorations to motorcycles. Watching is well worth it: it's captivating to see how stillness, precision and years of experience produce results you'd otherwise only notice on a finished machine. Anyone who'd like to bring their own parts along is welcome to do so – the pinstripers will work to order on the day, first come, first serve. So pack your tank, mudguard or panniers and have a one-of-a-kind piece made just for you.

Caricature Portrait – With A Motorcycle

Wonderbell Art will draw you as a caricature – with a motorcycle, of course. A souvenir worth keeping.

BMW F 450 GS & BMW R20 Concept – Live on Display

Two machines that speak for themselves: the BMW F 450 GS and the BMW R20 Concept will both be on display at BMW Motorrad Welt on April 25. Up close, touchable – no screen, no showroom glass.

ADAC Berlin‑Brandenburg

ADAC Berlin‑Brandenburg is bringing a special highlight to the Season Opening: a BMW R 67/2 roadside assistance sidecar, number 144. This extremely rare vehicle represents the long tradition of the ADAC roadside assistance service and has been restored with great passion and care. To match this, the new ADAC service station will be officially put into operation at the Season Opening.

Stage Programme with STAR FM

Music, presentation and the right energy for the start of the season: STAR FM will be live on stage, bringing the atmosphere inside BMW Motorrad Welt to life.

For the Kids: Upcycling Workshop & Street Art Academy

Children are very welcome – and there's a dedicated programme just for them. At the upcycling station, two creative options await: build a motorcycle from recycled materials or print a tote bag using a hand-prepared lino stamp on the theme of motorcycles. Prefer a spray can? The Street Art Academy offers graffiti and a Lego printing workshop. Handmade, colourful, and yours to take home.

BMW Motorrad Shop

The Season Opening is also a great opportunity to try on the latest collection at your leisure. You'll find everything you need for the season ahead in our shop – and you can take it home the same day.

Food & Drink

There'll be food from the grill and coffee and cold drinks at our bistro out in the courtyard. Come as you are, take a breath, enjoy.
